Putting forward a new way of interpreting classical music, NEW TIME CLASSICS gives performers greater freedom to exercise their creative flair and integrate elements of improvisation, which become a key feature of the approach. This helps inject a livelier, more spontaneous feel into each performance, bringing a sense of immediacy to the music and making every public performance distinctive.
When using previously composed material, elements are drawn from other musical styles, such as jazz, contemporary, traditional, and electronic music. This allows musicians to take on the role of co-creators, as in jazz, presenting familiar and beloved classical pieces in a new light — in entirely unique versions.
This is the philosophy guiding our French Kiss album, where Dimitri and I bring these reimagined interpretations to the celebrated classical repertoire.
