Polina De Carlo: Concert Pianist and Music Educator

Born in Minsk, Polina De Carlo is a pianist shaped by the great classical tradition of Eastern Europe. She began studying piano at the age of five at the Specialized Music Lyceum for Gifted Children affiliated with the Belarusian State Academy of Music, where she received rigorous training and later earned a Master’s degree in Piano Performance, Pedagogy, Chamber Music, and Collaborative Piano.

She went on to build her career in New York as a recitalist, chamber musician, educator, and adjudicator, combining the richness of the Eastern European piano tradition with the influences of the Western musical world. Through her performances, recordings, and teaching, she continues to share her interpretations with audiences and students worldwide.

Passionate about nurturing the next generation of musicians, Polina is the founder of The ART of PIANO, a piano academy dedicated to providing high-level education and encouraging students to discover their own musical identity while pursuing artistic excellence. She has prepared students for auditions and international competitions, with several becoming laureates.

Polina has expanded her activities to France, a country that holds a special place in her artistic life. Her recordings span Romantic, French, and classical crossover repertoire, reflecting her individual approach and depth of expression. In 2025, she provided the piano performance for the leading heroine in Jacques Otmezguine’s feature film Le Choix du Pianiste (The Piano Choice) and recorded works by Frédéric Chopin and other composers.

Among her recent collaborations, Polina has worked with distinguished musicians, including jazz pianist Dimitri Naïditch and domra artist Angelina Galashenkova-Reed, exploring new possibilities in cross-genre chamber music.

Recognized for the elegance of her touch, technical refinement, and expressive depth, Polina De Carlo combines the discipline of a great classical tradition with a deeply personal musical sensibility and artistry.
